Jardin

Photos taken at the Jardin Botanico, Rio de Janeiro. The strong light and luscious colors are a delight to the eye. The garden is filled with a series of breathtaking vistas and details to delight the senses. Originally founded by the Prince Regent of the United Kingdom of Brazil and Portugal, Dom Joao VI, in 1808, the garden was not open to the public for 14 years. Over time, this garden has evolved into one of the greatest tropical gardens in the world. Close to Copacabana and Ipanema, it is a wonderful place to take a leisurely afternoon stroll.
